A digital pharmacy was put into use recently at the first Hospital of Changsha, China's Hunan province. There, robotic pharmacy dispensing systems are put into use to improve medication management and drug dispensing.
After the prescriptions are checked by the pharmacists, a pharmacy robot will start to dispense drugs automatically. The drugs are taken from shelves by the mechanical arm and then sent to the dispensary counter through a transmission passage.
